2025 Season:
September 15th:
Cal State Northridge Junior Matthew “Chewy” Thomas was named MVP the Waves this summer. He led the team in GP, AB’s, 12-2B’s, 8-HR’s and 72-Total Bases. He finished the year with a .336 BA, .438 OBA, and .673 SLG. He also played great OF defense all summer. Congratulations Chewy and good luck this college season!
September 10th:
Cal State Monterey Bay Junior Holden Garcia has been named Pitcher of the Year for the Waves. He went 3-0 with 26 IP, 21 K’s, 17 H, 1.04 ERA, and a 1.04 WHIP. Congratulations Holden and good luck this season at Monterey!!
September 2nd:
Junior C Cole Snidow and Saddleback Sophomore INF Jacob Hudson have been named Waves Co-Defensive Players of the Year for the Waves. Congratulations to you both on a great summer and good luck this upcoming season!!

2024 Season:
July 31st: Thank you to the 2024 Squad
I would like to thank our players for the 2024 summer. It was a tough with 42 games over 50 days with a ton of travel mixed in. You guys came together at the end of the season! This photo was taken after losing the CPCL Championship Series to Palm Springs two games to one. Tough loss but very proud of the way we played. Good luck to all of you this upcoming school year!
July 31st: Thank you to the 2024 Staff
I would like to thank all of coaches for the summer. Manager Jake Rico, Louis Cohen Pitching Coach, Assistant Coach Kevin Cottingham and our intern Marlena Bosnack. They all worked extremely hard this summer to make it a successful one. I would also like to thank our VP Doug Johnson who did a whole lot of work behind the scenes to make sure we had a great summer. Doug and I started this thing 29 years ago and I am so proud to say we have kept together all these years. Next year will be season number 30 for both of us and very much looking forward summer 2025!

July 22nd: Championship Series vs Palm Springs Power Games 2 and 3
The Waves lose the CPCL best of three championships series two games to one to the Palm Springs Power. The Waves battled this weekend, but came up just short Sunday losing both games in the 9th. Sanchez and Cook with HR’s on the day. A great weekend of baseball for both squads as each team battled and came back in each game. Congratulations to the Power on the Championship! Congratulations to our players for fighting all the way to the end!! A great way to end the summer. The Waves look forward to their 30th season in 2025!
July 21st: Championship Series vs Palm Springs Power Game 1
Waves in Game 1 of the 3 game championship series 7-5 over Power. Mendoza with the win. Pham with 4 hits and K. Sanchez with 3. Game 2 tomorrow at 1 PM.
July 8th: Stats Update:
The stats have been posted as of 7/8/24. The Waves are 16-15 overall and 6-7 in the California Premier Collegiate League.

San Diego Waves Summer Collegiate Team
San Diego Waves Summer Collegiate team plays from June through August. With a rich history of success since their debut in 1995. The Waves are a member of the Western Baseball Association and the National Baseball Congress. Since 2000 the Waves have won eight League titles and have finished in the top 10 at the NBC World Series seven times including six times in the last nine years.
